Intent
Our Business Studies curriculum intends to provide students with the knowledge, understanding and skills necessary to prepare them for employment or higher education.
The course has an essential core of knowledge and applied skills which gives learners the opportunity to gain a broad understanding and knowledge of the business world.
We aim to encourage progression onto a more specialised Level 3 vocational or academic course or into an apprenticeship.
Overall, our course has been developed to encourage our students’ personal development of knowledge and skills relevant to the business and the real world.

Our Business curriculum provides a solid foundation for further studies and students will be able to take responsibility for their own learning and achievement. They will be able to transfer their skills and knowledge into everyday life situations.
Students will be able to go out into the world of work with a nationally recognised qualification and the attributes, experience and the knowledge to be successful in their future career pathway.
