Enrichment 

At Lostock Hall Academy, we believe that every student should have access to a rich programme of opportunities beyond the classroom. Enrichment plays a vital role in helping young people develop confidence, discover new interests, build meaningful relationships and develop the skills and experiences they need to thrive in school and beyond. 

Our enrichment programme is designed around the principles of the Department for Education's Enrichment Framework, providing students with opportunities to broaden their horizons, raise aspirations and develop a strong sense of belonging. [gov.uk] 

Lunchtime Enrichment 

To ensure that all students can access a wide range of opportunities, the Academy offers an extensive programme of lunchtime clubs and activities. 

These sessions enable students from different year groups to come together around shared interests, develop friendships and strengthen their sense of identity within the school community. Whether participating in sport, music, creative arts, STEM activities or student leadership opportunities, students are encouraged to explore their talents in a welcoming and supportive environment.  

After-School Enrichment 

Our after-school programme provides students with the opportunity to engage in activities over a longer period of time, allowing them to deepen their knowledge, refine their skills and pursue their interests with greater commitment. 

A wide range of clubs, teams and societies are offered across the curriculum, including sport, performing arts, visual arts, technology and academic subjects. These experiences challenge students, foster resilience and creativity, and help them to discover future pathways they may wish to pursue. 

Many of our enrichment opportunities also provide students with chances to develop leadership skills, act as ambassadors for the Academy, participate in competitions and events, and experience educational visits that broaden their understanding of the wider world.
