On Saturday 27th June, Mrs Williams took on a 5km swim in Lake Ullswater. In what were challenging choppy conditions (due to the wind) she emerged from the waves in 1hr 49 minutes.
Alongside her own swim, she took great pride in seeing one of the athletes she coaches and taught to swim last year complete the 3km swim.
On Sunday 28th June she took part in Ullswater Epicman Triathlon. The wind was still causing tough conditions-the water was equally choppy, the wind made the bike tough in places and the sun came out to play making the run rather warm. Despite this, she pushed on and achieved a respectable 1st place in her age group.
She is coming to school for a rest this week!
