Welcome to Lostock Hall Academy
Students and staff at Lostock Hall Academy are celebrating another major success, the second within the last 8 months. After recently being graded a “good” school by Ofsted in December 2014, they have gone on to even greater success, with no less than 74% of students achieving 5 A*-C GCSE grades and 65% of students gaining 5 or more A*-C grades including English and Maths. With more than a quarter of year 11 gaining at least 3 or more A* and A grades, students like Gemma Robinson who gained no less than 10 A*/A grades and Samuel Bird with 9 A*/A s are just a few of the students who have demonstrated the high levels of achievement expected at Lostock Hall Academy.
The Chair of Governors, Margaret Scrivens said “The hard work and support that staff have provided the students combined with the efforts of the students over the last two years have ensured that they have achieved to the highest level. The Governing Body is particularly proud of their achievement and congratulates them all, wishing them future success as they now move onto a new and exciting pathway.”
Mrs Gorman, the new Headteacher at Lostock Hall Academy said “It was a privilege to share in the joy of students when they collected their results this week. Seeing the majority of students not only achieving their results, but with very high academic grades and personal bests, is testament to the hard work and team spirit that emanates throughout Lostock Hall Academy. We here at the Academy intend to continue to build on this team spirit and go from strength to strength.
